Take Five

What does Take Five mean?

As far as I understand, it's an expression that means "take 5 minutes to relax and breathe and enjoy."

Recently, I have been thinking of how to clean up my "music and reading room" that I created 7 years ago. I hardly use it now as it's become more of a store room. And I hate it. I want to enjoy my room again.

It was supposed to be my room of retreat, my room of inspiration, my room of creation.

I need to find a way to get the stuff organized, buy new cabinets, move out cupboards I don't want, clean the carpet, get a new computer....wow so much to do.

I suppose it's time to really "take five" and not be worrisome about my work and every day living. Just like this wonderful classical jazz piece that I've heard so many times but didn't know who played it and what it was called. I chanced upon it while surfing on You Tube.

This is The Dave Brubeck Quartet from "1961". Be inspired. Make your room really YOU.

Create.
